Cloud software enables collaborative, real-time procedures

“NASA SBIR has given us the opportunity to take an idea that we had and turn it into a full-fledged software system.” – David Kortenkamp, CTO of TRACLabs, Inc.

Astronauts must carry out many experiments and other tasks in space that require numerous procedural steps. Clear, concise procedures are critical to helping astronauts avoid errors. NASA needed a straightforward tool to help astronauts perform procedures, including complicated tasks that require software pertaining to issuing commands to equipment.

TRACLabs, Inc. developed its Procedure Integrated Development Environment (PRIDE) software through NASA SBIR contracts. Astronauts use the paperless system to help them accomplish tasks in space – and on Earth.
